Voodoo Gili Trawangan
I backpacked the world, and like many travellers, I found myself on Gili T. I loved the island’s energy — nights that roll into sunrise, lazy afternoons by the pool, and swimming with turtles off the reef.
What I didn’t love? Having to choose between stiff resorts that felt soulless and hostels that were fun but too basic.
So I built Voodoo Gili.
A place with a big pool, rustic wooden rooms, and where the party’s still alive, but the beds are way better. A middle ground for travellers who still want the fun and the food — but also a proper bed, hot shower, and a touch of style.
The Voodoo Vibe
Think laid-back with a little tiki twist: jungle gardens, friendly cats, and a crew that treats you like family. We’re five minutes from the harbour, the beach, and the main strip — close to everything that makes Gili T what it is.
And the food? Voodoo Kitchen has become one of the island’s most loved spots — famous for burgers, tacos, and local favourites made from scratch.

By day: relax by the pool, snorkel with turtles, or dive world-class reefs. Explore by bike, or even ride horseback along the beach.
By night: the buzz of Gili T is right at your doorstep — beach bars, live beats, and parties that go until sunrise.

Why We’re Different
